Mitchell House is a traditionally trained sculptor with a studio at Baconsthorpe in Norfolk. From this working studio Mitchell offers beginners to advanced courses in sculpture using traditional and classical approaches.

The beginners course is recommended as a starting point as the teaching relates to traditional techniques rarely taught nowadays. Working from a model, students will learn the basics of anatomy and how to correctly measure proportions and apply them to their portrait bust. Once the clay piece is completed, Mitchell then teaches how to take a mould and then cast the sculpture into plaster.

The aim of the courses is to enable students to advance their skills and confidence so they may create sculpture independently for personal enjoyment or for selling.
